This Award is open to businesses that have developed an invention or initiative that has resulted in the creation of a unique or new product, service, system, device or process.
This Award is open to businesses that have been operating for over 12 months but less than 3 full financial years and is proving to be a success. This could include, but is not limited to, growth in turnover, market share, employee numbers and / or customers; business expansion; new product development; repayment of loans etc.
This Award is open to businesses that can demonstrate an initiative, campaign or project that has resulted in community or social benefit. The business needs to have been operating for a minimum of 12 months and provide proof that they are classified as a social enterprise.
Social enterprise is defined as an organisation that applies commercial strategies to maximise improvements in human and environmental wellbeing, rather than maximising profits for external shareholders. Social enterprises can be structured as a for-profit or non-profit, and may take the form of a co-operative, mutual organisation, a disregarded entity, a social business, or a charity organisation.
This Award is open to businesses that can demonstrate an initiative, campaign or project that bridges Melbourne with international markets and opportunities. The nominated business needs to have been operating for a minimum of 2 years in Melbourne and will be gauged on it’s success, uniqueness and sustainability.
Awarded to a business that is undertaking sustainable business practices or making a positive difference to the environment. This could include:
- Introducing a new sustainable product, process or practice
- Making long-term savings to energy or water, or reducing or recycling waste
- Changing workplace and business behaviour
- Becoming a more environmentally sustainable business.
Open to organisations that can demonstrate an integrated approach to Cultural Inclusion through Change Management, Training and Personal Development.
Female entrepreneurs are positive role models for women and youth, and play an important role in reaching out to the community. The Female Entrepreneur Award recognises outstanding achievement by women entrepreneurs that:
- Best exemplify effective leadership, innovation, business growth and sustainability
- Demonstrate cultural, social and environmental awareness
- Demonstrate a commitment to enhancing the well-being of the larger community.
Open to individuals who work in the Customer Service Industry. This award champions individuals who deliver customer service every-day and represents the ultimate accolade in Customer Experience recognition. Frontline people who support internal or external customers and are recognised as providing exemplary service through their actions, customer feedback and/or performance reviews.
Open to resourceful, driven and imaginative young business leaders (up to 30yo) that are also doing great things in the leadership, innovation and new business space, creating a new method, a new idea, a new product, a better process or a solution.
Nominees will demonstrate great ideas and a desire to succeed, often with very little capital backing, who have commercialised their vision and business ideas to ultimately create growth, external investment or innovative business solutions.
